Dan Francis (not verified) says:

I am a registered lifelong Democrat and I know Darrel Aubertine, as our area Assembly member and previously as Jefferson County legislator and chairman of the board of legislators for a term - I am not satisified with his performance in office. Yes, he is likeable, but he is also abusive at times. I recall once the legislators were going to discuss publicy the county budget. He tried to get the smallest room possible to keep out the most amount of people who wanted to speak out against the budget. I also attended many public forums to speak out on issues - he openly said "fireworks, tonight there's Mr. Francis." That is unbecoming of any elected official to criticze a citizen who comes before them to address issues. I have zero respect for him on a lot of issues. He has learned the political ropes in Albany quite well for, as he says, "I'm just a farmer." Many will dispute my views - and that's okay, they are still my views. He will not get my vote and I'll continue to speak out when I think he is wrong.
