As a young musician and as a person interested in world politics, I have to say that this concert and the fact that we were invited by North Korea is an extremely exciting and promising event. We were allowed to not only play Gershwin, an American composer, but also the "Star-Spangled Banner." If this isn't progress in a country that has spread so much anti-American propaganda, then I don't know what is. Sometimes cultural diplomacy is the only way to start opening doors and discussions.
