I would have liked to delve deeper, such as why (mostly women) are desperate to avoid any signs of aging beyond age 25. Yes, taking care of oneself is healthy, but this obsession with and marketing for "agelessness" is strange and sad. That MD who is also a psychiatrist would do better work to try to help our society, again mostly women, who are brainwashed into thinking they are flawed monsters if they have a smile line ( from gd forbid laughing too much!) or forehead lines ( from gd forbid making an expression!) or horror of horrors looking older than above said 25! But no, she will use her psychiatric skills to soothe her patients' psyches into feeling good about the expensive facial treatments she will perform.
Then go to dinner with her friends, the patients.
And write manipulative magazine articles and now a book. Soon to be on QVC I am sure, with a whole line of products.
That these women have gone through medical school to now feed into the most misguided trends we have ever seen in society makes me feel hopeless that any true healing will ever happen. Feeling joyful with oneself in all our stages of life is deeper than Botox.
