History will ultimately judge Gore as one of the most insidious elements of politics at the turn of the century-- his antics in Florida were never underpinned by any factual basis. Busing in agitators from Chicago, his challenge in the courts allowed many kool-aid drinking Americans to believe that the US Supreme Court's decision was a political, and it has significantly eroded public trust and unity. To extol this man as a statesman is delusional.
