Having worked in Al Gore's and now in Hillary Clinton's campaigns, I think both are acting responsibly in this situation with the uppermost concern being respect and concern for a true democratic process. In his election campaign and in this one, one can easily see there is much room for improvement of our election process. One can also easily see how it can be manipulated and actually abused as well. While there is certainly some history of relational politics between the two, they are each great statespeople with a very high regard for the integrity of our political process.
