Let's look at this with a prism of reality. Al Gore is now fat, rich and happy with his exploitation of the global warming hysteria. Why on earth (pun intended) would he set that aside to take the heat of the Oval office?

He may certainly be able to affect the Democratic nomination and that might be the consolation he needs for his blown election attempt in 2000.

Gore's earth/carbon exchange company has raised him from an embarassed failed presidential candidate to rock-star status and incalculable wealth. The wings of the poorly substantiated effect of human existance, destined to ruin the 'environment, and the accompanying millions in wealth will be enough for Al in his old age.
