Although certainly not insurmountable with super delegates figured in, Obama's pledged delegate lead of about 160 or so is considerable. True, compared to the around 2700 total thus far, 160 doesn't seem like much. However, you have to remember the true significance of such a number when a comfortable primary win in a small state may give the victor 2 or 3 more delegates than the loser and a win in a larger state can result in a net gain of less than a dozen. Keeping in mind the way pledged delegates are assigned, 160 is a bunch. In reality, the pledged delegate race isn't even close to close.
