Correct me if I am wrong but isn't real estate, (and real estate rulings) determined by economics?
While thousands of buildings and lots sat abandoned and neglected, what Black leader or organization rallied at least 70% of our brothers and sisters in Harlem into a form of economic solidarity(Claude Anderson) to redevelope these areas for the benefit of the Black community?????
While the Frank Lucas's and Nicky Barnes made millions, in Harlem..
what Black leader or organizatin fought seriously and thorougly to rid our comunity of the scourge of drugs(the way Malcom and later the Panthers did!!!) that made our neighborhoods a living hell and forced most of us who are gainfuly employed to move out for the safety of our families?
How much have we spent as Black folks in Harlem,in regards to discretionary funds(1978-2008) collectively? and could we have not renovated and bought up these lots and properties, rather then sitting around and waiting for gentrification and then crying about the inevitable?
