Read the Fine Print (not verified) says:
Maybe the New York Observer should do a bit of investigation, instead of reprinting press releases from City Hall.
As the New York Times noted, (and as anyone with a shred of sense would have cared to find out) only 200 of the nearly 4000 units will be affordable to working families earning incomes in the $30K range. The average income in Harlem is about $25K. This much-vaunted 48% affordable housing negotiated by our hypocritical council woman is a whitewashing of the highest order.
MANY in Harlem are being pushed out. The Observer, along with many of its readers are celebrating it. Shame.
