I have been listening to games on the radio, and Howie Rose and Wayne Hagin have been all over him. A good example was when Castillo misplayed a key grounder and everyone was safe, in the disaster game against the Bucs. Hagin and Rose must have said, I mean at least 15 times, that you really cannot hold Castillo accountable for that error, or Pagan and Wright and the rest that bobbled balls, it was all squarely on Oliver Perez, it was his fault, cause with all the walks and delays, how could the fielders concentrate?

They were brutal, and off base, and a total downer to listen to...and that kind of stuff is especially unsettling when the announcers, like so many complaining fans, who really are not in a position to lecture to real players out there trying to perform, demand something bordering perfection each time a starter or reliever takes the mound.
