It may very well be that Senator Clinton's threat of obliteration is merely hyperbole. Such exaggeration has its place, of course, usually in a conversation over a few beers in the local bar -- but not in a response given by a presidential candidate, no matter how provocative the question.
She scares me, both for her hyperbole and for her recalcitrant attitude towards questions about her 2002 vote to leave the decision regarding the invasion of Iraq in the hands of the maladjusted fool in the White House. McCain, of course, scares me even more, and I'm relieved that the machinations of Limbaugh et al to make Clinton his potentially-losing opponent in November are not yielding Rush's desired results.
Barack Obama isn't perfect, but he's the best option we've had in quite a few years.
Joe Conason is right on.
