Interesting observation about the Times'recent coverage of both candidates. I think the Times is genuinely conflicted. Everybody, including Times editors, sees that Obama is, as Rubin says, "extraordinary." But politically the Times has so much invested in Clinton, there's probably a real struggle between the paper's instinct to report the news and to back its candidate.
