At first, setting all these deadlines seemed like a good way to create a sense of urgency around the Stadium. But it's starting to get silly: April 12: "Jay Cross...said the stadium would not be ready to open in time for the 2010 Super Bowl unless he ordered 17,000 tons of steel by the end of May." But here we are in the end of May, and this week's NFL vote has the Jets still in line for 2010. "Another deadline that turned out to be, shall we say, elastic," writes a correspondent.
