Editorial Boards

An anonymous blogger with a lot of interest in the Manhattan Borough President race and an equal amount of time on his or her hands has put together this compilation of every unsigned New York Times editorial that mentions any of the candidates.

This is a useful exercise because the Times endorsement will likely be the single most important event in that contest, as it is in many New York City races.

Which raises the question: Why don't editorial boards get covered like the political players they are? Analyzed for their history, their members, internal dynamics, conflicts, and motivations. Sought out for leaks. (After all, nobody leaks like members of the press!)

We're going to try to take an interest this cycle in the main editorial boards. So if you know when interviews are taking place, have any fly-on-the-wall observations from inside them, or insight into possible outcomes, please keep in touch.
