Boosters of Tom Suozzi's suddenly-certain bid for Governor note that he has nearly $4 million in his campaign account, which is more than many outside Nassau County had realized. But Eliot Spitzer, meanwhile, continues in his incumbent-like ability to raise money on a different scale. For his December 7 gala at the Sheraton (with afterparty at the Hammerstein Ballroom, of course) his aides expect to beat Governor Pataki's 2002 record of $5.1 million in a single event.
