D'Amato Hearts Hillary

Al D'Amato gives a statement to Maggie Haberman at the Post:

"I have found Sen. Clinton to be very responsive to the needs of her constituents, whether it is with local governments or individuals.

"Her reputation for working on behalf of her constituents, with both Republicans and Democrats in Congress, is well known."

So Al gets to buck the Republican leadership and side with the winner, and Hillary gets a former Whitewater senator to sing her praises. Who loses?

Dems Need Balls (not verified) says:

Why is this surprising? He must have a beneficial relationship with her in his role as lobbyist--maybe he is just sucking up given the inevitablity of her re-election. Another reason to vote for Jonathon Tasini.

Dems Need Balls (not verified) says:

Why does this surprise anyone? The results of the election are in--Hillary in a land slide. D'Amato is just doing what is good for business. Another reason to vote for Jonathon Tasini.

Bugg (not verified) says:

They, along with President Clinton, have the same deeply-held belief for what really matters most to them-THEMSELVES. Though D'Amato, in contrast to President Clinton, at least was honest enough to dump the old bat before he trolled for young blonde things.

Who loses? We the people lose. Isn't that always the case?

The fix is in.

This is politics perpetuating itself for the benefit of politicians, with liberals laughing all the way to the bank.

The thing I don't understand is that I thought Al D'Amato was helping John Spencer.

I guess not.

Lady Bug (not verified) says:

Al D'Amato wants to be the Republican version of Ed Koch - this is so blatant and, yes, it is good for his business.

RepublicanMan (not verified) says:

Al should change his party registration. He is DESTROYING the Republican Party.

Anonymous says:

D'Amato is about money. If Republicans win he is with them. Democrats going to win Hillary he is with her.

Why do NY1 have on a lobbyist ever week?

What happy to the Russian Mob guy the D'Amato work for and got the MTA to move to 2 Broadway in a move that costs millions for NYS tax payers?

Why do we have to look to the blogs to find the truth about D'Amato? Where are the press and reporters on this lobbyist for the mob?
