Kennedy to Enter Rehab

WASHINGTON (AP) _ Rep. Patrick Kennedy said Friday he was entering treatment for addiction to prescription pain medication, a decision made after a highly publicized car crash near the Capitol that the congressman said he cannot recall. Kennedy, D-R.I., said he would seek immediate treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

I believe that serious analysts conclude that the most dependable predictor of alcoholism is a family history of either alcoholism or tea-totalers. The implication being that tea-totalers are often themselves predisposed to alcoholism but either as cause or effect do not drink.
It is not an uncommon affliction, as Pres. Bush.
