The Morning Read: May 15, 2006

The Sun asks if the budget will strain the Mayor's relationship with the Speaker; and Tom Manton gives up his day job.

Over at the Daily News, Ben Smith writes about the Clinton-Murdoch relationship.

The Post writes that Peter Kalikow may endorse Hillary Clinton.

And the Times looks at the Sweeney-Gillibrand match up in the 20th congressional district.

Zev Jabotinsky (not verified) says:

The Time seems to have not asked an important question: Should Howard Wolfson's firm, which works as lobbyists for foreign governments like anti-Semitic, terrorist-supporting Malaysia, be running the campaigns of someone running for UNITED STATES CONGRESS. It seems like a pretty good question to ask.

Maybe they should be more worried about the ramifications of a foreign government's lobbyist controlling our Congress than whether a Congressman stopped by a frat party thrown by a college in his district as a joke.

Now Tom Manton can spend more time running the City Council.

interesting that Nicole the mole didnt point out the Post editorial slam on Nick Perry's TWU contributions in her wrap-up. not-so-balanced coverage...

maybe the new editor will finely give her the door.
