Tonight, Green Works Blue

Among the more eye-catching political events this week is tonight's fundraiser for Mark Green at Caroline's Comedy Club. The featured performers for the $500 a ticket (minimum) event will include Daily Show alums Lewis Black and Paul Mercurio.

One of the fundraising chairs is the old Green standby Bruce Wasserstein. And among the event's "patrons" is Bob Guccione.

The comedians were hilarious, Green was warm, funny and passionate, and this event demonstrates, once again, why Green has been the life of the NY Democratic Party throughout the Giuliani/Pataki era.

Green the life of the democratic party? oh yeah he was really the life of the party in 98 when he finished third? in 2001 when it was his for the asking and he blew it?? if he is the life of the party the Eliot Spitzer is the life, heart, sole and lungs of the dem party!

Who is in City Hall? Green was more like the death of the Democratic party. Remember his hit tune "Kill it"
