The Chris Owens Song

What did you expect when the son of the rapping congressman ran for his dad's seat? A political rap song, remixed of course. It's hip. Political. And he's probably the best singing politician since...Gifford Miller and Joseph Crowley (Sorry Patrick Jenkins.)

An aide to Owens said the song was released this weekend. So, here is the brand new song from Chris Owens: Love is the Way [link fixed].

I wonder...Think Yvette Clarke will cut a diss track with John Murtha and Anthony Weiner at their town hall tonight?

is the link not working for anyone else?

Isn't Yvette the one who keeps criticizing the "white candidate" for wanting to represent a black neighborhood, and yet keeps bringing white electeds into the neighborhood for her own electorial benefit?

Anonymous says:

Wow, way to go Chris. Now they just need to drive down Flatbush with this on the loudspeaker, and all the Clarke supporters will see who the best candidate is. This may also fly at tonight's "town hall"

Be careful -- Yvette and 5W may whip out some of their star power -- Lil Kim for Clarke leads the all powerful liars committee -- Is it true that 5W represents Michael Jackson too?

This by far is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard during a campaign.

But what do you expect from a loser, who else has time to write this bullshit... After Sept. 12, I guess he will have the time to cut a whole CD.

It's the most ridiculous thing you've heard during a campaign? I guess you've never seen Al Sharpton, Mark Green, David Yassky, or George Allen speak. Ha.

Do you know how much free publicity it'll buy on local radio in certain communities?!

wow, calling that music is an afront to all things related to sound.

if chris had a day job, i'd tell him to not quit it.

wow. thats stinky with a capital s

The most ridiculous thing heard in this campaign was Yvette's campaign slogan - the one that starts with the word 'honest' - not!

That should nicely demonstrate who has a real commitment to peace, too. Has anyone ever seen Yvette at a peace rally - ever?

Local Singer (not verified) says:

I'm impressed by the candidate's vision and obvious talent. Finally, a refreshing way for a politician to speak out against the war, and to promote peace. Kudos to Owens.

Lady in a red dress, I agree. But lets give the guy his ten minutes of glory and listen to it after all it is his last shot, and we all know that on Sept. 12 he will miss. Let us just sit back and enjoy it at an intellectual level. It is something to laugh about at the dinner table when someone thinks they are pulling the wool over our eyes. It is not everyday that the son of a Congressman uses a song in order to pass himself off as someone who is committed to peace which in turn he hopes would lead to victory.

I question his honesty.

Hey Az; what about John Hall? (actually, having attended Hall's concert, I'd give the nod to Owens).
