Kicking Butt

Here is an ad for Democratic state senate candidate Brooke Ellison of Long Island. Note the kicker: "Brooke Ellison kicked butt in Harvard. Imagine what she'll do to Albany."

The ad, which began airing recently, was created by Jimmy Siegel, he of Eliot Spitzer fame.

The tagline in this ad is pushing the envelope of folksiness, but it sure beats this.

this is a great ad -- for one classy woman. no wonder joe bruno has put more money into john flanagan's seat than any other sitting Republican.

this ad is great. i've heard a lot about brooke ellison and she seems amazing.

i sure hope she wins.

Wow...that really surprised me even though I saw the opening shot that is posted online. It's weird that no one has really heard of Brooke. it seems like this race is one the dems can actually win.

It sounds awful, but I wouldn't vote for her. Life is depressing enough without getting mailings from a woman in a wheelchair assuring me that she is getting things done in Albany.

That's exactly why people will vote for her - because her story is really inspiring. I saw her movie and think she is amazing.

6:17 with all due respect, it is no wonder you wrote that post "anonymously"...I wouldn't want such an immature opinion to be connected to me either!

I can't wait for the Republicans to hire these ad people. "Giuliani: Thrusting plungers into ass since Manhattan College!"

Im not sure its a good political ad. Shes inspiring but why would I want her representing me. Thats my take.

what had she done to the society? what is her goal if she elect to be a senator? I have not seem any fact that tells me what she's going to contribute if she elect. I'm still not sure that should I need to vote for her or not.
