Prison Art

botero-222.JPG

This isn't exactly about politics. (Although in a fairly obvious way, it kind of is.)

It's a painting by noted artist Fernando Botero from his new exhibit about Abu Ghraib, which is opening today on 57th Street.

I do hope they'll have a compare and contrast of Abu Ghraib as it was under Saddam and as it was under the U.S.

I'm sure they won't though, criticizing maniacal dictators who murder their own citizens en masse isn't nearly as fun as criticizing the America or Bush--for one thing, you know no one will kill you for it.

Hey, for those of us who like Botero, or otherwise want to catch the exhibit, what's the name of the gallery, Azi? There are more than a few of them on 57th Street.

Oh, whoops, missed the link. It's at the Marlborough.
