Blue Suit, Purple Prose
A new Congress began session today in DC, where Democrats got to experience all the joys and benefits of life in the majority for the first time in years.
Chuck Schumer wore a blue suit for the occasion, which he told C-SPAN was meant to commemorate the message delivered by voters in this year's election.
But in an item he wrote on the Huffington Post, he struck a more bipartisan tone:
"We are ready to work with Republicans in Congress and the Administration. We realize that's the only way things can get done."
I get the feeling he's enjoying this.

And why now do I hear the musical sounds of that one hit wonder EMF?
Cheap shot on the "purple prose" line, which does not seem to be related to anything Chuckie actually wrote. More apt line woulda been "Blue Suit, Blue Senate." I'm no huge Chuck fan, but you gotta give credit where it's due!
