Quinn's Near Miss in Israel

There was a "rocket explosion" about 10 minutes outside the place in Israel where City Council Speaker Christine Quinn was meeting with an Israeli official, according to Quinn's office.

Nobody was injured, and Quinn will discuss the incident at 2 p.m. in a conference call with reporters.

The blast took place in Nir-am Kibbutz, close to Sderot. -- Azi Paybarah

A rocket attack a mile away in the disputed territory you're visiting. And you're surprised? Either naive or cynical atttempt to work the Jewish vote.

What does "about 10 minutes outside the place mean"

Does it mean 5 miles away?

Milk it Milk it Milk it

If Quinn really had guts she would visit the other side, where the rockets were being fired from so she can witness first hand a people suffering through an illegal occupation and unjustified international sanctions instead of pandering for the jewish vote.

Tell me when Israel last bombed Gaza -- it simply isn't happening. And yet the Palestinians have bombed Israel since Israel left Gaza in 2005. Further -- Sderot isn't disputed territory. Sderot is clearly within the Green line, which is the pre-1967 border of Israel.

Anonymous says:

whether Israel has bombed Gaza recently is not a relevant issue the issue of relevance is the illegal occupation, the degrading of the Palestinians due to the aforementioned occupation. Furthermore, what is more troubling are these American politcians who visit Israel to pander for Jewish votes while neglecting the true injustice which is the occupation.
For clarification all of Israel is truely Palestinian land; before 1948 their was no such thing as Israel.

as usual the occupying side that reverts to childish name calling and race baiting while denying the actual events that Israel is an occupying force that was created on some one else's land.

Down with the terrorists (not verified) says:

Israel has always been the land of the Jews any moronic terrorist that wants to come on here and complain about it can do it until their face turns red but youre wasting your time. Get over it move on.

Anonymous says:

at the end of the day israel will not be secure and its citizenry will never be secure until grants the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.
And any Moron knows that.

Anonymous says:

The legitimate rights of Palestinians will never be secure as long as they remain determined to destroy their neighbors and themselves. Israel stopped occupying Gaza -- see what that got them. Sderot is not occupied territory, and neither is Kibbutz Nir-am.

How can someone born in Bklyn call Israel their country?

Anonymous says:

4:23: Before 1948, there was no such Country as Palestine either. And thanks to the Palestinian's abysmal leadership, there still isn't.

Anonymous says:

I don't know, my cleaning lady was born in Poland and she calls America her country.

Anonymous says:

Fidel: I don't know, my cleaning lady was born in Warsaw and she calls America her country. Where was your grandpa born?

Fidel (not verified) says:

I think Palestinians from around the middle east should be granted the right of return to Palestine.

Fair is fair if people from Bklyn can do it.

Fidels a putz (not verified) says:

Go back to Cuba you moron.

Fidel (not verified) says:

Is anyone from Israel really middle eastern or are they European and Bklyn transplanted land grabbers?
