Somehow, they make it look pretty. Amanda Burden sent us this master-planbook for Fresh Kills, once the world's largest landfill, which by 2007 or so will start turning into a 2,315-acre park. (That's three times the size of Central Park.) Whether anyone who doesn't live on Staten Island will go there remains the question.
