Let's go to the hop, oh baby Yesterday our inbox was graced with an invitation to a '50s-themed party (this Saturday night!) for New Jersey's future Wildwood hotel / resort / condo. But why is this invitation different from all other invitations? A kindly PR rep offered us ways to cover this fascinating Condotel.

Possible Stories: 9/11 Survivor Bets on Wildwood as a Four Seasons Destination; No Passport Needed to Visit New Caribbean-Style Condotel in Wildwood; Princeton Entrepreneur Forms Alliance with Meyer Jabara Hotels; Changing Real Estate Market Can Support High End Units, Says Wildwood Developer; Making of a Real Estate Launch, produced by John Bruce, Star "While You Were Out"
The last four are funny in their own funny-sad ways (i.e. While You Were Out), but that first "story" is simply extraordinary. Weirdly, the email says nothing else about any WTC survivors. That's probably a good thing. The whole shebang, after the jump. Update: A press release sent out later in the week says: "Princeton entrepreneur and 9/11 survivor Christian Nickerson today announced the development of the $225 million Wildwood Beach Hotel and Resort." - Max Abelson Media Advisory: Wildwood Beach Hotel and Resort Who: Wildwood Beach Hotel and Resort, www.WBWildwood.com What: Preview of new Wildwood Beach Hotel and Resort with cocktails and hors d'ouevres (by invitation only) Date: Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, 5:00 p.m. Where: Wildwoods Convention Center, Starlight Ballroom, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ Presentations by: State Senator Nicholas Asselta, Wildwood Mayor Mayor Ernie Troiano Possible Stories: 9/11 Survivor Bets on Wildwood as a Four Seasons Destination No Passport Needed to Visit New Caribbean-Style Condotel in Wildwood Princeton Entrepreneur Forms Alliance with Meyer Jabara Hotels Changing Real Estate Market Can Support High End Units, Says Wildwood Developer Making of a Real Estate Launch, produced by John Bruce, Star "While You Were Out" On the heels of the Fabulous Fifties Weekend comes the launch of the Wildwood Beach Hotel and Resort. Ready for occupancy in December 2009, this new construction will be a 25 story masterpiece, containing 190 luxury condominiums and 150 hotel units, which will help turn Wildwood into a four seasons resort. Developer Christian Nickerson of Princeton, partnering with William Meyer of Meyer Jabara Hotels and Dr. Gerard Klauder of Klauder & Associates is creating Wildwood's first 4-star establishment, directly across from the town's $70 million state-of-the-art convention center. This sophisticated oceanfront resort will offer two pools, including one for year-round indoor swimming adjacent to an indoor beach and waterpark, about half the size of a football field. Other amenities include a spa, restaurants, shopping, indoor parking, concierge service, and optional room service.
