Dear Reader,
On November 19, the first issue of THE NEW YORK OBSERVER STYLE magazine hits the newsstands and will be devoted to bringing you what we know: New York is Style. From haute couture to extreme hair, we are here to go to town with the Observer edge, bringing a bit more tweak to chic.
For our maiden voyage, we've reached out to our favorite team of fashion experts, led by the legendary celebrity stylist Freddie Lieba and creative director Marc Balet. Also appearing on our pages will be OBSERVER columnists Simon Doonan and Spencer Morgan.
Finally, there's a special guest superstar: Beyonce. The singer, actress and all-around American beauty spends an afternoon with Observer staff writer Sara Vilkomerson, reminiscing about her mom, shopping vintage and the great Etta James--whom she plays in her forthcoming film Cadillac Records, opening December 5.
Look for the premiere issue of Observer Style soon! We hope you'll enjoy it. Please let me know what you think.
