 <title>Happy Days Comes to Brooklyn</title>

 <description><![CDATA[<!--paging_filter--><p>Tony-nominated director <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0912444/">Deborah Warner</a> and longtime collaborating actress <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0789716/">Fiona Shaw</a> (Aunt Petunia in the <em>Harry Potter </em>movies) will be bringing a &quot;far from conventional&quot; production of Samuel Beckett's <em>Happy Days</em> to Brooklyn Academy of Music starting Jan. 8 (check <a href="http://www.bam.org/buytickets/production/view.aspx?id=2980">here</a> for tickets), <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/02/theater/02shaw.html?ref=arts">according to Jason Zinoman of the <em>New York Times</em></a>. They made admends with the executor of Mr. Beckett's estate by promising to honor the writer's bullish protection of his work and precise stage directions (although Ms. Warner couldn't help herself from adding the theme songs to Gary Marshall's <em>Happy Days</em> show during intermission). <span class='read-more'><a href="http://www.observer.com/2008/happy-days-comes-brooklyn">&nbsp;read&nbsp;more&nbsp;&raquo;</a></span></p>]]></description>
