 <description><![CDATA[<!--paging_filter--><p>AOL, the user-friendly portal popular with baby boomers and their parents, officially opened its new corporate headquarters in New York City today.
<p>Three hundred employees from AOL's Corporate and Programming branch, formerly based in Virginia, are moving today into the 105-year-old, Daniel Burnham-designed building at 770 Broadway, which once housed the Wanamaker Department Store. Mr. Burnham also designed the Flatiron Building. <span class='read-more'><a href="http://www.observer.com/2008/youve-got-mail">&nbsp;read&nbsp;more&nbsp;&raquo;</a></span></p>]]></description>

 <description><![CDATA[<!--paging_filter--><p>AOL announced yesterday that the company is moving its corporate headquarters from a suburban campus in Dulles, Va. to 770 Broadway at Astor Place.
<p>AOL spokesperson Anne Bentley said the move reflects a shift in AOL&#39;s priorities from its email, IM and internet access business focus to becoming a major player in the advertising industry.</p>

 <title>AOL to Move Corporate Headquarters to 770 Broadway</title>

 <description><![CDATA[<!--paging_filter--><p>America Online announced today that it will move its corporate headquarters from Dulles, Va., to 770 Broadway. A release on the company&#39;s Web site says that the firm has leased space at the Greenwich Village building owned by Vornado Realty Trust for its advertising and programming operations, which are already based in New York, as well as for additional operations.
<p>AOL will lease 152,000 square feet on two floors, according to a spokeswoman, and the lease lasts until 2022. Other tenants in the building, according to Vornado&#39;s Web site, include J. Crew, Viacom International, and publisher VNU.</p>
