Luke Perry Ditches 90210 , Does Law & Order

We stopped watching the new 90210 after we tried to make it through the first episode and found even we (who happen to have a pretty high threshold for terrible television) couldn’t stomach the god-awfulness of it all. But! Apparently Dylan McKay, that wrinkly-headed dreaminess that was Luke Perry back in the day, is a name still being bandied about, because he’s the father or some such nonsense of Kelly’s (Jennie Garth) four-year-old son. Mr. Perry, who has said in so many words that wild horses couldn’t drag him into that mess, will however be showing up on TV after all, on the September 23rd season opener of Law & Order SVU. According to TV Guide, Mr. Perry will be playing a father accused of abusing his adopted child, and elsewhere Sara Gilbert (Roseanne) also shows up as a rape victim.

NBC Greenlights Dick Wolf Pilot

Dick Wolf, Law & Order creator and producer, and godfather to New York City actors, is creating a new show for NBC.

His subject matter will be familiar territory, according to Variety. The one-hour show, called Lost and Found (what, no ampersand?), will revolve around "an unconventional female detective who identifies anonymous murder victims, and then solves their crimes."

Mr. Wolf will executive produce the pilot for which he's corralled writer Chris Levinson to provide a script. Ms. Levinson has worked with Mr. Wolf on Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Trial by Jury. She also wrote episodes of Dawson's Creek and Charmed. read more »

Fall Out Boy Stump to Appear in Law & Order Episode

Patrick Stump, the chubster who sings for Fall Out Boy, will appear in a Law & Order episode in February, according to MTV news. He will play a cubicle monkey for a big NYC electric company. We're guessing there's no skinny jeans or emo glasses allowed on set. Bummer.

"I've been begging forever, 'cause I'm just a fan," he told MTV News. "Somehow they let me do it."

NBC's 12-14 demo is gonna go through the roof!
