Sheesan Hotel LLC, an affiliate of economy hotel tycoon Sam Chang, has sold the new Holiday Inn Manhattan Hotel in Chelsea for $66 million to a Rhode Island-based hospitality group, according to records uploaded on Friday to a city Web site.

The buyer, MMG-26 LLC, affiliated with Magna Hospitality Group, closed on the 23-story, 226-room hotel, at 121 West 26th Street, on June 30.

This isn't the first time Mr. Chang has sold property to Magna. This year alone, he sold the Rhode Island firm 8 Stone Street in the Financial District, 60 West 36th Street and 231 East 43rd Street. read more »

New Gym Owner Derek Jeter: ‘You May Not See Me On A Treadmill’

Watch out, Equinox! New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter is partnering with the international 24-Hour Fitness chain to open three new “classy” sports clubs in Manhattan this year.

What, you were expecting a Roger Clemens-run juice bar?

The first will be a 28,000-square-foot facility on Fifth Avenue, conveniently located just a short guilt-ridden walk from Danny Meyer’s Shake Shack in Madison Square Park.

Additional locations are planned for SoHo and also in Midtown, a few blocks from the pro slugger's own $13 million pad in the Trump World Tower.

The healthy and wealthy Yankees shortstop recently took a breather to talk with me about the project. read more »

The proprietors of the Old Town Bar & Restaurant are usually pretty accurate when it comes to advertising.

So the bar's brand-new 2008 calendar magnets gave us pause:

Did Carrie really meet Mr. Big at the Old Town?

Let's go to the tape--er, complete DVD set: read more »
