 <title>Wired Hires Its New Publisher, Chris Mitchell</title>

 <description><![CDATA[<!--paging_filter--><p>Two days after <em>Wired</em> lost it<a href="/2008/i-atlantic-i-names-new-publisher-jay-lauf">s publisher </a>to <em>The Atlantic</em>, the magazine has its replacement.</p>
<p>Chris Mitchell, the publisher of <em>Details</em>, will move over to take over the VP/publisher role at <em>Wired </em>magazine, Condé Nast group president David Carey told Media Mob. Mitchell has been the publisher of <em>Details</em> since 2004, and before that worked as the advertising director of <em>Wired </em>and was an associate publisher of <em>The New Yorker.</em>  <span class='read-more'><a href="http://origin.observer.com/2008/wired-hires-its-new-publsher-chris-mitchell">&nbsp;read&nbsp;more&nbsp;&raquo;</a></span></p>]]></description>
