Epidurals Under Siege! Keri Russell Puts Muscle Behind Drug-Free Birth
There's nothing like your first time.
“I’m not going to go into mine,” actress Keri Russell told us last night, referring to the birth of her son, River Russell Deary. (What did you think we were talking about?) She paused, flashed a toothy grin and added: “But it was great.”
Bundled in an oversized jacket and looking much younger than her 31 years, the Felicity star (and Brooklyn resident!) was milling about at the after-party for a special screening of The Business of Being Born at the IFC Center in the Village. read more »

Rumor Mongers: Perez Hilton to Take Rosie's View Chair?
That's what mediabistro proposes is the big news coming from the bizarre celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
We're thinking he tipped his hand with this little illustration (right) which appeared on his Web site yesterday.
He's slotted to appear on the show today, and has promised big news at noon. We may or may not keep you posted.
More Donald Vs. Rosie: This Time It's Adjectival
And on it goes.
Rosie O'Donnell said on Monday morning's View that Donald Trump has gone straight for the fat jokes when he's attacked her the last few weeks:
"It's the way I look. He can't resist... It's always the first comment of someone who disagrees with you if you happen to be on the plus side."
Mr. Trump, however, sought to clarify his use of the adjective in a statement the Associated Press shortly after Ms. O'Donnell's freshest comments:
"I used the word `slob,' I used the word `degenerate' and I used the words `not very smart.' The word `fat' played a very small role, if any, in my description of her."
Well then.
- Tom AcitelliTrump to Rosie: You're Still a Loser
With the sixth-season debut of The Apprentice a little more than 72 hours away, Donald Trump has ramped up his pre-Christmas feud with Rosie O'Donnell again.
On FOX News on Wednesday night, Mr. Trump lit into O'Donnell for her earlier criticism of his business acumen and moral probity. He was reacting to Barbara Walters' mild defense of her View co-host:
Rosie understands that I understand her. I've known Rosie for a long time, and I understand Rosie. Rosie is not a winner. She's a loser. Rosie is somebody that is -- in my opinion, she's got somewhat of a death wish. I think that Rosie understands that I understand her, and that bothered her very much.- Tom Acitelli
Dept. of Lame Excuses
"I think today what everybody's going to be focused on is the Yankees," he told reporters in Queens.
Or maybe that will be tomorrow. When the Yankees actually have a game.
Fortunately, Bloomberg backer Rosie O'Donnell (!) had another answer ready, Jason Horowitz reports:
"The mayor has two debates scheduled and I think two is enough. We seem to be a gluttonous culture where everyone thinks all you can eat is the best you can do. Frankly, I think two is enough."
(O'Donnell's appearance, countering a big group of gay elected officials -- including her brother Danny -- endorsing Ferrer today, has that same celebrity-obsessed edge as did the Famous Black People From Other States for Bloomberg announcement of last month.) read more »
NOTE: Item slightly corrected, as Rosie's appearance wasn't exactly a formal endorsement.
