Zachary Greenhill

From the CIA to the Bench?

There was a minute in 2002 when having worked for the CIA looked like it might actually be a positive entry on a candidate's resume. Zachary Greenhill, who was running for State Assembly on the Upper East Side, played his time working for the agency in Latin America as a security credential.

He lost anyway, but a reader writes that Greenhill is now taking a look at a judgeship, having requested an application for the Independent Judicial Screening Panel for a vacant Upper East Side/Chelsea Civil Court Seat.

Ben, I think I have

Ben,

I think I have a good one for you. I don't know if you remember Zachary Greenhill, the former Reagan era CIA agent who ran against Jonathan Bing for Assembly in 2002. I believe you wrote an article for the New York Sun regarding Zach's exploits in South America during Iran-Contra. Well I learned yesterday that Zach requested an application for the Independent Judicial Screening Panel for a vacant Upper East Side/Chelsea Civil Court Seat and that he is planning to run in the September primary. If you have any questions please feel free to email me or give me a call.
