While some Representatives from New York try figuring out their position on the Iraq War resolution, expect to hear newly elected Congresswoman Yvette Clarke's position on the war around 10 a.m. on C-SPAN.

On the campaign trail, Clarke's message about the war was this:

"Imagine a Congress that was half female, allowing our children to be sent to war, in harm's way without an extremely good reason."

A new Congress began session today in DC, where Democrats got to experience all the joys and benefits of life in the majority for the first time in years.

Chuck Schumer wore a blue suit for the occasion, which he told C-SPAN was meant to commemorate the message delivered by voters in this year's election.

But in an item he wrote on the Huffington Post, he struck a more bipartisan tone:

"We are ready to work with Republicans in Congress and the Administration. We realize that's the only way things can get done."

I get the feeling he's enjoying this.

Andrew Cuomo and Charlie King speak at the House of the Lord Church (415 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn) at 8 p.m.

Mike Bloomberg finds out if his favorite Shakira video wins an MTV Music Video award when the award show starts at at Radio City Music Hall at 8 p.m.

And at 10 p.m., C-SPAN has a rerun of Iran response "to the United Nations Security Council deadline on Iran's nuclear program."

NY1 has a town hall meeting 7 p.m.

RNN has an AG debate at 7 p.m.

DFNYC's research and advocacy group meets at 72nd Street at 7:15

Candidates in the Brooklyn 11th congressional district have a candidate's forum at the Montauk Club at 7 p.m.

The congress and the presidency are discussed on C-SPAN at 8 p.m.

And Spitzer has a debate-watching party in Rochester at 8:30.

"Metal of Honor," a documentary about 9/11 ironworkers is shown Paramount Screening Room (1515 Broadway, 3rd floor) at 6 p.m.

Yvette Clarke has a town hall meeting with John Murtha and Anthony Weiner at 7:30 p.m.

And the protest to town hall meeting takes place at the same place and the same time.
