At the kickoff for Tribeca last night at MoMA, our Big Cheese Publisher was in the mood to play reporter with Chevy Chase. There we were, asking Mr. Chase about his thoughts on Baby Mama, when our publisher debuted his journalistic skills.

666 Fifth Avenue Deal Closes

The most expensive building sale in U.S. history, $1.8 billion for 666 Fifth Avenue, is a closed deal.

Cushman & Wakefield, which arranged the sale, released the news on Tuesday. (No matter that it closed on Jan. 12, according to city records--it's a slow news day).

Kushner Companies is the new owner, Tishman Speyer the seller. (The Observer is owned by Jared Kushner of Kushner Companies.)

Is Howard Rubenstein Against Rudy Giuliani?

Today's Page Six says that "Rudy Giuliani has made enemies among a group that should be solidly behind "America's mayor"—the Society of Former Special Agents—after canceling as their keynote speaker."

Howard Rubenstein, who represents the New York Post, also represents the Former Special Agents of the FBI. (He also works with the New York F.B.I. office— Mr. Rubenstein has also been identified in the press as a "Kushner family spokesman." Jared Kushner is the owner of the New York Observer.)
