Amy Winehouse will not and was never slated to perform at the Met’s Annual Costume Institute Gala on May 5th.

Amy Winehouse: The Next Tragic Talent?
Amy Winehouse is going to die young. At least that's what we're expecting, according to Salon's James Hannahan. "It seems inevitable, given the ferocious soul singer's combination of youth, chutzpah, talent, substance abuse and bad taste in men," he writes.
It looks as though she'll be following in good company in rock 'n' roll heaven, at least. read more »
Chloë Sevigny Pretends to Have Drug Problems for Harper's Bazaar
There’s something undeniably alluring about Chloë Sevigny. The moment we met her in director Larry Clark’s Kids, her unique sense of style came wafting off the screen, securing her place in the fashion zeitgeist. Even now, on HBO’s Big Love, the 33-year-old actress manages to make polygamy attractive—perhaps it has something to do with those just-rolled-out-of-bed eyes. So cool her vibe and refreshing her style, it almost seems like she could do no wrong.
During a recent photo shoot in Paris for Harper’s Bazaar, acclaimed fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh chose to give the Look Book spread a decidedly edgy theme—“They Tried to Make Me Go to Rehab.” While the Amy Winehouse shout-out is slightly amusing and Ms. Sevigny’s security in her sobriety is kind of refreshing, these pics make her look creepy. In this clip from the Parisian photo sesh, she offers her sense of Mr. Lindbergh’s work. “I love the way he shoots women; they’re always very strong and confident,” she says, adding: “There’s just something romantic and very feminine about his pictures.” Really?
Grammy Noms? Cue Obligatory Eye Roll
Every year, the music nerd community does a massive eye roll when the Grammy nominations are announced. Sitting on their high bar stools, they thumb their noses and whine that all of their favorite, totally obscure, "indie" artists will never get the recognition they deserve. Even if those artists do make the list, they complain, they'll lose out to whichever act has the most radio play, the best PR people, or maybe the nicest ass.
This year is no different: How is Feist a "Best New Artist" when she released her debut solo album Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down) in 1999? What the hell does an "Best Urban/Alternative Performance" even mean? How did the Soulja Boy dance become a nomination for best rap song? And even though we adore her and her giant booty, there is no way Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" belongs on the "Record of the Year" list.
