Susie Tompkins Buell, a former Clinton bundler who has persistently criticized Barack Obama since he won the Democratic primary, is incensed about a new Ludacris song that praises Obama but also uses salty language and refers to Hillary Clinton as a "bitch."

"I think it's an opportunity for Senator Obama to stand up," said Buell, who is not a regular Ludacris listener. "I have not heard it, I have seen certain quotes from this, I don't know, do you call them songs? What do you call it?"

"It's just unacceptable. If it's true that he is on Senator Obama's iPod quite a bit, he's got to distance himself.  read more »

A reader sends over this letter from former Clinton bundler Yashar Hedayat calling for contributions to erase Hillary Clinton's campaign debt--and it includes this whiff of a threat to Obama supporters: " I don’t think any of us (including my Obama friends on this list) want her to be saddled with debt while she continues to do so much good for our country."

A reader sends in this email from major Los Angeles-based Clinton fund-raiser Yashar Hedayat:

Guys this is the big day. Today I’m not asking for money, I need you to make calls to voters in Texas. I really don’t want to hear about the fact that you’ve been busy fundraising for her and as a result don’t have any time, we’ve all been fundraising for her and we’ve all spent a lot of time giving her the resources she needs to win; many of us have made this a second full-time job.

But today, money is not important. Please take some time today to make calls to Texas. Some of you have said that you’re not “grassrootsy” (if that’s a word) and want to focus on fundraising. TOO BAD. No one is above making calls to voters.

Please take a look at the attached PDF for instructions and codes for using our auto-call system. The system will connect you to voters in Texas and there’s a script in the instructions you can use.

You probably won’t convince a lot of people to vote for Hillary today if they’re already supporting Barack, but more importantly most voters in Texas DON”T know about the “Texas two step”. Basically, they have to vote sometime during the day, and then they need to come back around 6:30 to caucus. It’s very, very important for the delegate count to get people to come back after they’ve voted to caucus for Hillary.

Please take your lunch hour or any extra time you have during the day to make some calls. The great thing about the auto-call system the campaign uses, there are no lists, it does all the dialing for you. So even if you can sneak away and make 10 calls here and there, it will still have an impact.
