Shakespeare in the Park

Lauren Ambrose will return to the Delacorte this summer as Ophelia in the Public Theater's production of Hamlet. The fiery redhead was the leading lady in last year's Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare in the Park and will replace Crimes of the Heart's Lily Rabe, who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.  read more »

Hair and Hamlet are coming to Central Park this summer. The Public Theater's free Shakespeare in the Park program will begin May 29 with Hamlet , starring Michael Stuhlbarg (of The Pillowman), according to Variety. It will be the first Hamlet since 1975, when Sam Waterston had the title role.  read more »
