Marty Mack, who had been serving as deputy secretary for intergovernmental affairs, is now the appointments secretary. ALBANY—Errol Cockfield is being "transitioned out" of his job as David Paterson's press secretary, as City Hall News is reporting, for another job on the second floor. A source close to Cockfield said he will begin working on intergovernmental affairs under Marty Mack, focusing downstate. The eventual idea, the source said, is for Cockfield to transition to Paterson's campaign. It's unclear who will replace Cockfield as press secretary.
